Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli entries finished second-to-sixth in the Total 24 Hours of Spa’s pre-qualifying session this afternoon.
While Barwell’s Am Cup-entered Lamborghini made a surprise appearance at the top, it was Mercedes-AMG’s Maxi Buhk who set the pace amongst #IntGTC’s contingent. GruppeM’s championship leader finished 0.2s shy of first and just 0.024s clear of Maro Engel’s Black Falcon AMG, which is also nominated to score Intercontinental points this weekend.
Bentley Team M-Sport’s #107 Continental GT3 finished right behind courtesy of Jules Gounon who was a tenth ahead of Daniel Serra’s HubAuto Corsa Ferrari. ROWE Racing’s Porsche driven by Mathieu Jaminet completed the run of #IntGTC entries in sixth.
The best of the Audis finished 10th, Jamie Green lapping Team Land’s R8 0.5s slower than Patrik Kujala’s benchmark time.
Josh Burdon finished 21st in the quickest of KCMG’s two Nissans, although the Australian was still just under a second down on the overall fastest time.
Qualifying begins at 20:00 local time when the fight for Friday’s top-20 Super Pole shootout begins.
